Cleaning Toys
For most toys, warm water and mild soap are enough, followed by a thorough rinse and complete drying—it’s the residual moisture that causes problems, not the visible dirt. A specialized cleaner offers two benefits: it leaves no scented residue on porous materials, and it can be used without disassembling or soaking the electronics. Store each toy separately, away from light: two different types of silicone left in contact with each other can stick together.
What Can Be Disinfected and What Cannot
Silicone, glass, and steel are non-porous: they can be cleaned thoroughly. TPE, Cyberskin, and soft, skin-like materials remain porous—clean them thoroughly, but reserve them for a single person. When switching between partners, the simplest solution is to use a condom on the toy.
Personal Hygiene
An intimate cleanser is meant to clean the outside only—the internal flora regulates itself, and interfering with it weakens it. Choose a product with a suitable pH level and a simple, fragrance-free formula. Enema bulbs and anal douches should be used with lukewarm water, in small amounts, and not too frequently: too much water or using them too often can irritate the mucous membrane. If discomfort persists, consult a doctor.
