Open or Closed: The Real Question

A model that’s open at both ends rinses in ten seconds and dries on its own. It’s the easiest to use, and the one we recommend for beginners. A closed-end model traps air: the suction feels stronger—often adjustable via a small opening you can cover with your finger—but drying takes patience. Choose based on what you’re willing to maintain, not on the photo.

Flexibility and texture

TPE and Cyberskin are remarkably soft and feel very much like skin; however, their material is porous, which requires careful cleaning and personal use only. Silicone is slightly firmer, non-porous, and can be thoroughly disinfected. Inside, the pronounced ridges intensify everything: if you’re unsure, a less textured canal won’t get old as quickly.

Lubricant and Care

A water-based lubricant works with everything, without exception—silicone-based lubricant, on the other hand, damages silicone toys. After use: warm water, mild soap, thorough rinsing, and complete drying before storing. A pinch of cornstarch restores TPE’s velvety feel when it becomes sticky. Store away from light, and never place two flexible toys directly against each other.
